11 multiplication Trick

Let's see how can we make calculations easy by using few tricks which are very simple. Let's just dive into the pool and swim it out: 

let's become Einstein for a while 

I request you to practice the trick to convert your self into Einstein just for a while *conditions apply

let's see

11 x ( Multiplication any number with 11)

let's check it out suppose

11 x 12 = 132

11 x 13 =143

11 x 14 = 154

11 x 15 = 165

observe the pattern and try finding out the trick yourself.......,   well 3,2,1..... I hope you got the trick easy is it!!   

    Here is the trick

 

1. we have 12 x 11 ( observe that either way is fine because it is Integers multiplication is commutative) 

2. Identifying first and second digits

Now here my first digit in 12 is 1 and second digit is 2

3. Adding first and second digits

Now we have to add first digit with the second digit which is 1+2 ( in this case) which gives us 1+2=3

Next step is to 

4. Placing the result in between 

Keep this result which is 3 here  in the middle of first and second digit which are 1 and 2 so we get the answer like 132.

Tadaaaaa....., Here we get the answer easily.

23 x 11=

35 x 11=

22 x 11=

72 x 11=

63 x 11=

Let's consider 3 digit number like above 

Like previous method we are going to write 13 on our left and 2 on our right 

Then similarly add both we got  15 we can only place a digit in between the two so place the last digit 5

Now is carry forwarded to 13 and on summing up we get 14 so the answer is 1452

Easy right !!!

now one more method to solve it check below....

1. First we write the units digit as same then add the units digit to its previous digit in this case 132
2. 2 is added to 3 we get 5 then we get 52.
3. Again now 10's place digit is added to its previous i.e.., 3+1=4 then we get 452.
4. Now since we left with only one digit keep the digit as it is so, we get 1452

 Note: If on adding any digits which results in two digits one digit has to kept in answer and other has to be carry forwarded. 

 suppose 11 x 182

1. 2
2. 2+8=10 : 0 is kept in answer and 1 is carry forwarded 02
3. 8+1=9 : 9+1 =10 again 0 is kept below & 1 is carry forwarded 002
4. Now left out 1 is added to the carry forwarded 1 (1+1=2) so we get 2002
